Coventry Cathedral is well known internationally as a striking example of twentieth century church architecture and for its ministry of reconciliation, which attracts a wide range of visitors. It has a committed core of worshippers who delight in the combination of traditional and contemporary liturgy and music and attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors both from this country and abroad.
The Cathedral welcomes children and young people from all over the country on educational visits. Schools ask the schools team to help their pupils learn from and about the Cathedral through different techniques and experiences. Popular topics for school visits include: World War II, the Cathedral as a place of Christian worship, Signs and Symbols, and Conflict and Reconciliation. The team also devises new materials and approaches to respond to the changing needs of schools and the community.
