The majority of our work specialises in providing curriculum targeted learning experiences for schools, colleges and universities. We also run two holiday cottages and self catering facilities.
Blencathra Centre was opened in February 1994 and occupies an inspiring site 300m above sea level on a south facing mountain slope. The Blencathra Centre, run in partnership with the Lake District National Park Authority, is one of seventeen field centres operated by the Field Studies Council. The Field Studies Council is a pioneering educational charity which was set up to help people discover, explore, understand and be inspired by the natural environment.
