Bestwood EEC is part of Nottingahmshire's Environmental Education Support service (EESS) and is based in Bestwood Country Park on the edge of Nottingham City.
We are one of four day visit centres catering for children of all ages learning in the outdoors. Bestwood is a woodland setting with heathland, grassland, river and reedbed environments. Activities are cross curricular and tailored to age groups. The centre is run by an experienced teacher with a background in earth sciences, environmental management and classroom teaching. All centres are teacher run, one at each centre.
The EESS supports 'Trailblazer', a record of achievement in environmental education.
