Areas of interest:
All OASES projects contribute to the development of young people as responsible and confident global citizens, through a range of experiences characterised by hands-on, multi-sensory involvement.

OASES manges 3 residential outdoor learning centres for primary school children and provides a range of support services to schools wishing to learn in the outdoors.

In addition OASES manages or coordinates a number of complementary partner projects that each contribute to Education for sustainable Development. These are currently:

The School Grounds Development Project

A consultation and design project helping schools to develop their own grounds for greater enjoyment and outdoor learning potential.

One World Network North East

A Global Education project funded by DFID. The project works wioth teachers to raise their awareness of and confidence in dealing with global education issues.

WasteWise 

A waste/recycling project working to encourage schools/young people towards a greater responsibility for waste and the environment.

Placements for trainee teachers would be tailored to make best use of an applicants skills and interests, and could be based in a single OASES project, or include experience across the range of projects.
