High force Education SCITT is a School Centred Initial Teacher Training Provider offering a full time primary level course over one academic year leading to a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
The course is based at Green Lane CE Primary School and is taught in a consortium of 18 very effective primary schools spread across three local authorities of North Yorkshire, Darlington and Durham. There is a wide variety of schools within the consortium: very large to very small, urban to rural, denominational and community schools, separate junior and infant as well as 3 – 11 primary schools from diverse social economic backgrounds. All students will experience five of these schools throughout the year ensuring a wide range of teaching experiences.
High Force Education aims to produce confident, skilled, enthusiastic and innovative practitioners able to teach the 5 – 11 age range effectively and prepared to continue their professional development throughout their career.
